Notes: The Castello degli Orsini is located in Morlupo, in the province of Rome.The present castle was rebuilt after the previous one, of medieval times, was destroyed in 1433. It is located just down the Via del Corso and is placed as a barrier to the ingress protection Ward Mazzocca, as said the district is naturally protected from the other sides by deep and steep ravines. It was certainly provided with tower, from whose top you could see the system of watchtowers to the Flaminia, and towards the Tiber. In the sixteenth century Orsini Antimo, wanting to leave a clear sign of his dominion over the land, via a work of transformation of the Castle. The project reflects in setting the typical patterns of the Renaissance princely residence; The plan proposes a widespread Lazio Sangallo's architectural lexicon of derivation.
