Notes: Castello di Santo Stefano d'Aveto is a historic building in Piazza del Popolo in Santo Stefano d'Aveto, in the Aveto valley. Its structure is considered one of the most interesting defensive works of the province of Genoa and Liguria. The castle is located at the center of the wide valley on the slopes of Mount Maggiorasca, visible in the background of the castle, and surrounded almost entirely by meadows, not far from today's town of Santo Stefano.
